Decatur Illinois Secretary of State Facility

This local license branch insists they will only issue a real ID, or a standard ID using real ID requirements. When I showed them the information the website said I was supposed to bring they and pointed out where it said the exact same thing on their hand out, they basically gave me a bum rush. A national aggregator under the guise of a state run organization. The staff were about as rude as I've ever encountered as well. I'll take care of my licensing needs I going to Springfield from now on.

Faster than a Springfield wait time and friendlier than a Friday afternoon. Worth every mile of the drive just to avoid the soul-crushing lines elsewhere.

Just like any experience. With the right person and patience... understanding is reached. Things get smoothed out thru listening and sometimes swallowing pride and knowing this ain't a fast food place

Needed to get my license renewed and address updated. I live in Bloomington but they didn't have any appointments available and Decatur did so I scheduled online. I am glad I drove out here! Everyone was very friendly, service was fast and efficient and they recommended a great place for ice cream/food on my way home. (Krekels for those that know) Thank you to all the ladies there today who I spoke to. I'll be back in the future when needed!

Worst experience every time I go here three different people tell me three different things and then I end up spending that money on something else they came up with. Overpayed to be heartless and uncaring towards the people who don’t even want to be there to begin with. I wish I never had to go back but unfortunately I do. I did my renewal eye test while freaking crying today. Wasteful excuse of a place.
